Work Begins on Headhouse Ceiling
Construction crews are taking their work to new heights in the Kansas City International Airport New Terminal’s check in hall — just over 60 feet high, in fact. With work underway on painting, hardware, and system installation for fire alarms, fire sprinklers, lighting, and speakers in the ceiling’s device troughs, the first hemlock wood panels have been able to be set in place for inspection and review. The wood ceilings will continue outside beneath the overhang above the departures roadway. Visit our Image Gallery to view more photos.
