Insulation Work Begins
With bitterly cold temperatures in the area, what better time to start insulating the New Terminal at Kansas City International Airport? Crews have been working on installing insulation and vapor barrier in the passenger lounges of both concourses. Vapor barrier (the plastic sheeting placed over the yellow insulation) prevents damage from water condensation inside the building’s walls, roof, foundation and floors. Although the work is inside, it can still prove cold for the workers. Our team works in a wide variety of extreme conditions to keep the New Terminal on time and on budget. Thanks to them for the dedication and hard work! View larger photos in our Image Gallery.
