Work Progresses on Glass Boarding Bridges
Thirty three of the Kansas City International Airport New Terminal’s 39 all-glass passenger boarding bridges have arrived on site with the remaining bridges to be delivered in October. To date, commissioning and pre-functional testing is complete on 18 of the bridges and ancillary equipment installation (bag slides, wheelchair lifts, etc.) is underway. The bridges are fully climate-controlled for the bridge AND the aircraft hooked to it. Photos by From the Ground Up Photography. Click on the photos to view larger.
