Structural Steel Takes Shape
Today marks four months since the start of structural steel on the Kansas City International Airport New Terminal Project. Since installing the first piece on April 6, local iron workers have been hard at work to erect and assemble more than 2,260 steel beams across the job site to form the terminal structure. Work will begin in the coming weeks to install the massive y-beams that will create the shape of the head house.
