Build KCI Team Updates City Council on New Terminal at Kansas City International Airport
On November 13 the Aviation Department and its project partners provided an update on the New Terminal at Kansas City International Airport to the Kansas City, Missouri, City Council Transportation Infrastructure and Operations Committee. The update conveyed three important pieces of information.
After months of collaboration between stakeholders the developer has confirmed the $1.5B cost, meaning the project is on budget. The team also reported that the project is on schedule for a March 2023 opening. Additionally, Edgemoor Infrastructure and Real Estate, the developer, has opened the application process for its New Terminal Workforce Training Program (WTP), which creates a pathway to employment on the project for Kansas Citians.
